Styled in a black satin finish, the Tom Araya Signature Series FRX is an electric bass from ESP featuring a solid alder body and a thorny, double-cutaway design. Its three-piece maple neck, fashioned in the neck-thru-body style, is fitted with a 35" scale ebony fingerboard and 24 extra-jumbo frets. The strings are secured by a set of Gotoh tuners, along with a Gotoh 404BO-4 bridge. For electronics, this bass is outfitted with a pair of active EMG 35DCs—humbucking pickups which offer versatility in the sonic spectrum; with these pickups, you can achieve anything from crisp and clean highs to dirty, growling lows. A volume knob, balance knob, and tone knob give you control over the electronics' timbres.
