With it’s figured maple top, birdseye maple neck and gold hardware you might think the Nele Deluxe is all show, but this guitar is made to rock. The Nele is the latest collaboration between Nuno Bettencourt and Washburn. You will love the playability of this guitar with its fast neck, extended cutaway design and 22 fret fingerboard. That great tone you are hearing comes from the Seymour Duncan® Vintage Stack® in the neck position and a Bill Lawrence L-250 pickup in the bridge position. The sonic range of those pickups is taken up a few notches with the 6-tone mod that is standard on the Nele. The 6-way “Freeway Ultra” switch gives players access to the three common settings and then three additional hot-rod options. Each Nele is custom-built in the Washburn USA custom shop. SWAMP ASH BODY WITH A FIGURED MAPLE CAP Swamp Ash is both light and resonant, and offers firm lows, pleasant highs, slightly scooped mids and excellent sustain. The highly figured Maple cap on this guitar gives it a tonal mix all it's own, and looks great too!
